Everything You Need to Know About Your Watch
Five vintage-inspired shapes in gold and steel, featuring sapphire crystal and a Japanese Miyota quartz movement — plus everything you need to know about sizing, care, battery replacement, warranty, and returns.
A watch is the one piece of jewellery that has to prove itself again every single day. That is exactly what the Dottilove collection was designed for: refined enough to feel like jewellery, yet practical enough for everyday wear.
Five case shapes, ten article numbers – and every model combines a stainless steel case and solid stainless steel bracelet with sapphire crystal and a Japanese Miyota quartz movement. Each shape is available in warm, vacuum-coated gold and polished steel.
1. Five Shapes, One Collection
Choose the silhouette first, then the colour. Every design is available in both gold and steel – while the dial and proportions give each shape its own distinct character.
2. What Every Watch Has in Common
Ten article numbers, five shapes and two colours share the same materials and quality standards. The differences are found in the case shape, dimensions, dial, movement calibre and finish.
Sapphire Crystal Across the Entire Collection
Every model is fitted with sapphire crystal. It is highly scratch-resistant in everyday use, but should still be treated with the same care as any other watch crystal: scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof or shatter-proof.
Japanese Miyota Quartz Movement
Depending on the case, the watch is powered by either a Miyota 2025 or Miyota 2035 quartz movement. Both use the same SR626SW silver oxide battery, which lasts around three years under normal use.
Stainless Steel Case and Solid Bracelet
The case is made from stainless steel and the bracelet from solid stainless steel links. This gives the collection a substantial, jewellery-like feel while maintaining consistent construction across all ten articles.
Two Colours
The gold models are vacuum-coated in an oven process, while the steel-coloured models are polished to a high-shine finish. Both are designed for regular wear and benefit from the care recommendations below.

3. What’s Included
The box is also the ideal place to store your watch when you are not wearing it. The soft interior keeps the case, bracelet and crystal separate from other jewellery. Alternatively, a Dottilove pouch can also be used for safe storage.
The Bracelet Adjustment Tool
Every box includes this tool so you can adjust the bracelet without necessarily visiting a jeweller. Turning the knurled screw pushes the bracelet connection pin out, allowing links to be removed or added. We recommend keeping the tool together with the box in case you want to adjust the fit again later or pass the watch on to someone else. You can find the step-by-step instructions below under Finding the Right Fit.
4. Finding the Right Fit
Before adjusting the bracelet: Once the bracelet has been shortened or adjusted, the watch can no longer be returned or exchanged. If you are still unsure whether you would like to keep the watch, try it on first without changing the bracelet. See Returns & Exchanges for full details.
Video: How to Adjust the Bracelet
First, look for the arrows on the underside of the bracelet. Position the tool pin directly against the bracelet connection pin and turn slowly to push it out. Remove or add the required number of links, then reinsert the connection pin from the opposite direction.
Do not use force if the pin is not correctly aligned. If you are not comfortable adjusting watch bracelets yourself, a jeweller or watchmaker can do this for you.
5. Caring for Your Watch
Every Dottilove watch is made using water-resistant materials suitable for everyday wear. A few simple habits will help protect the finish and keep your watch looking beautiful for longer.
Water Resistance
Every Dottilove watch is water-resistant and designed for daily wear. Water-resistant does not mean waterproof, however, so treat your watch with the same care you would give any quality watch.
Chemicals, Heat and Rough Surfaces
Avoid prolonged contact with aggressive chemicals. To help preserve the finish, also avoid strong heat and rough or abrasive surfaces.
Cleaning and Storage
Clean gold-plated models gently with a soft, dry cloth when needed. Do not use harsh cleaning products and avoid rubbing the surface. When you are not wearing the watch, store it safely in its Dottilove box or a Dottilove pouch.
6. Battery & Warranty
Both Miyota movements use the same SR626SW silver oxide button cell, commonly also known as 377 or IEC SR66, with a lifespan of approximately three years under normal use. The “2025” in Miyota 2025 refers to the movement calibre and does not mean that the watch uses a CR2025 battery.
12-Month Movement Warranty
From the date of purchase, the 12-month manufacturer’s warranty exclusively covers manufacturing defects of the Miyota movement. It does not cover the battery or normal battery discharge, nor external components such as the case, sapphire crystal, crown, dial, hands, bracelet, clasp or coating. Damage caused by impacts, improper handling, water ingress resulting from improper use or unauthorised repairs is also excluded. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Returns & Exchanges
Special return conditions apply to watches. Watches can only be returned or exchanged if they remain completely original, unworn and unaltered. Please read these notes before adjusting the watch or removing any protective components.
When a Return Is No Longer Possible
Once the protective film or plastic covering has been removed, a standard return or exchange is no longer possible.
If the watch bracelet has been shortened, adjusted or otherwise altered, we can no longer accept the watch for return or exchange.
Worn watches or watches showing signs of use are excluded from returns and exchanges.
Once the battery protection tab has been removed, a standard return or exchange is no longer possible.
